I am fond of cooking and always try new recipes at home. One day I tried restaurant-style canton Bihon Guisado at home and got amazing results after using this recipe. Now I always use this recipe because it is quick and easy and does not have any extra ingredients. You can check it.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Pancit Canton (egg noodles) – 200g
  2. Bihon (rice noodles) – 100g
  3. Chicken or pork, sliced – 200g
  4. Garlic, minced – 4 cloves
  5. Onion, sliced – 1
  6. Carrot, sliced – 1
  7. Cabbage, shredded – 1/2 cabbage
  8. Green beans, sliced – 1/2 cup
  9. Red bell pepper, sliced – 1
  10. Cooking oil – 2 tablespoons
  11. Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  12. Oyster sauce – 1 tablespoon
  13. Fish sauce (optional) – 1 tablespoon
  14. Black pepper – To taste
  15. Garnishing: Calamansi or lemon – For garnish
  16. Garnishing: Green onion – For garnish

Cooking instructions:

  1. First, boil the Bihon and Canton noodles, drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan add cooking oil and heat it over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and stir-fry them until fragrant. 
  3. Now add slices of chicken, pork or shrimp and cook until browned.
  4. Add more oil if needed and add vegetables (carrot, bell pepper, green beans and cabbage) and cook them for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken broth and black pepper. 
  6. Add both noodles in it and toss everything gently.
  7. At last, add lemon juice and green onion for garnishing and flavor.
